AGRICULTURE SECTOR EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR (SDF'S) ROADSHOW 2020/2021

AgriSETA invites all its existing and new Skills Development Facilitators (SDF's) to attend the annual Skills Development Facilitator workshops that are planned to take place in all regions listed below. The purpose of these workshops is to share and discuss developments that impact the submission of your Mandatory Grant application.

Topics to be discussed at the workshops are as follows:

1. AgriSETA online Submission (Training on the new system)

2. Mandatory grants submissions

Background and Mandate

The Agriculture Sector Education Training Authority (AgriSETA) is a statutory body established through Section 9 (1) of the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act 97 of 1998) in order to enable its stakeholders to advance skills levels in the sector in accordance with government's growth initiatives. AgriSETA creates and promotes opportunities for social, economic and employment growth for agri-enterprises through relevant, quality and accessible education, training and development in both primary and secondary agriculture, in conjunction with other stakeholders in agriculture. The scope of AgriSETA covers the agricultural sector from input services to the farm, activities on the farm and the first level processing activities from the farm.

 

Who should attend the workshops?

Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) operating within the agricultural sub sectors who are appointed as SDF's for AgriSETA Levy Paying Enterprises.

The workshops will be held as per the schedule below. - Attendance is compulsory

Only RSVPs that are done online will be accepted, however, if you are unable to attend after registering you can send another delegate from your company, only. Please note that venues for each workshop, directions and other relevant information will be communicated to confirmed delegates as per the Skills Development Facilitator RSVP list.

Sector Skills Committee (SSC) members are welcome to distribute the invitation to your respective organisations.
